On All Saint’s Sunday November 6th, during worship, we will lift up in prayer those who have passed away in the last year, since last All Saint’s Sunday. We will light a candle and remember those whom we love and dearly miss. Grieving is hard work and continues on for many years. On this day, as well as every Sunday, we pray for those who have passed and we pray for all who are grieving. May we all find hope in our times of grief in the knowledge that Christ is raised from the dead, so we too will be raised with Him.
Ash Wednesday worship service will be held on Wednesday February 10th at 6:30 pm. During this worship we begin our journey through Lent with the imposition of ashes. The Imposition of Ashes is a reminder that each of us is “dust and to dust we shall return”. The Ash Wednesday service is a beautiful and meaningful worship service that we hope all of you will plan on participating in. Dinner will be served prior to the worship service from 6:00-6:30 so families can attend and not have to worry about their evening meal! Instead of the traditional, giving up something for Lent, I challenge each of the Fredsville families to add something, perhaps it will be to add prayer into your daily life, or perhaps you could add making a commitment to the Mid-Week services, either way you are encouraged to join in as many activities as possible this Lent season!
During Worship on November 2nd we will remember and pay respect and honor to all those who have died in the past year. (Since All Saints Sunday 2013). During All Saints Sunday we are reminded that we are always surrounded by those who have gone before us and those who come after us. When we feast each Sunday at the communion table we are also joined with those who already share in the feast in their heavenly home. During this worship service we also recognize that for many the grieving continues well past the closing of the grave, yet we have the promise and hope that comes from the gift of Jesus Christ dying and rising for us. Please join us on this very special Sunday to remember those who have been part of our faith community and who have completed their baptism.
Lakeside worship service will be July 6, 2014, 10:30 am on the north side of Grundy Lake. Invite your family and friends to join us!
There will be a cookout with pulled pork sandwiches following the service. Fredsville members, please bring a salad or dessert to share.
Remember to bring your lawn chairs and don’t forget your pole and tackle if you want to fish. If it is raining, worship will be at 10:30 in Fredsville’s Fellowship Hall with the picnic to follow worship.

December 25th we will celebrate Christmas morning with worship at 10:30 am. Following worship, Fredsville will host a potluck. Ham will be provided; Fredsville members should bring side dishes. Reservations are not required but you may sign up or call the church office to help us plan and prepare the proper amount of ham.
Christmas Eve services will be held at the church on December 24th at 5pm and then also at 9pm at the Andersen Barn. Both services will include candlelight and communion. We will also have a Christmas Day service at 10:30 am with a potluck lunch following. Come hear the Christmas story, sing carols, light candles, break bread during communion, pray for Christ’s coming again and join in fellowship with the body of Christ! What a beautiful season to invite friends, family and neighbors to join us in worshipping the King of Kings!
At our morning worship on Sunday, October 13, 2013, we will celebrate with a service of Healing. During the worship service there will be a time for all to come forward and receive the laying on of hands for healing and wholeness. Every one of us needs healing, whether it is of body, mind, or spirit. The Healing Service is a beautiful worship service that we hope you find especially meaningful. Please plan on attending. Invite friends, especially any friend or family member who might benefit from this type of service.
