COVID-19 Adjustments: Online Sermons, Videos, Zoom Sessions, and More!

All face-to-face Fredsville Lutheran Church worship services and activities are cancelled or postponed until at least May 31.

In this time of craziness and turmoil it is important to maintain some grounding, and we understand that. As a church, it is important to reach out, to be a community, and to remain steadfast in God’s word.

Worship

Pastor Lisa and Intern Andy have continued to preach God’s word for you all with sermons and modified worship services on the Fredsville Lutheran Church Videos YouTube Channel. Video links, weekly guides for at-home worship with scripture and song lyrics, and children’s bulletins are e-mailed weekly to members and anyone else who requests to receive them. The church will also mail copies to those who prefer a print version.

Videos of various special worship services from the last 5 years are also available on our YouTube Channel.

Facebook

You can also find worship materials on our Facebook Page. Facebook Live videos, devotions, requests for prayer requests, and other content are posted there regularly for your enjoyment as well!

Zoom Activities

E-mail fredsville@fredsvillelutheran.org, call (319) 989-2065, or send a message to Fredsville on Facebook for the Zoom links. Our weekly Zoom activities include:

  • Sunday Night Storytime: On Sundays from 7-7:30 p.m., children from 2 years old through 5th grade are invited to connect for a check-in, read aloud, and prayer. Pastor Lisa reads a simple story for the younger students and part of a chapter book for older youth.
  • 5 Senses Bible Study: At 2 p.m. on Wednesdays in May, Intern Andy is leading a Bible Study exploring how we can use our five senses to experience God.
  • Wine @ Nine: On Thursdays at 9 p.m., ladies of the congregation are invited to grab a glass of wine (or other beverage of choice) and join Pastor Lisa for some time to touch base.
  • Open Fridays: Between 10-11 a.m. each Friday, join Intern Andy to check in, share stories, tell jokes, and just chat. These sessions might possibly include cameos by Baby Walter. You are welcome to come and go during this time rather than staying the entire hour.

Questions?

As always, if you have any questions, e-mail fredsville@fredsvillelutheran.org, send a message to Fredsville on Facebook, or call the church at (319) 989-2065. Although you might not be able to reach someone physically in the office, we are checking voicemail and will get back to you as soon as possible.
